SIX O’CLOCK GIN

Edward and Penny Kain created the original Six O’ Clock gin recipe as a base for their popular sloe gins which they began making at their Thornbury-based fruit farm thirty years ago. Some years later, Michael and Felicity took over their parents’ fruit liqueur distillery to launch the strikingly smooth Six O’ Clock gin in 2010.

With help from industry experts, the original gin recipe was perfected using carefully selected botanicals for a distinctive juniper-led flavour, along with orange peel, angelica, orris root, winter savory, coriander seed and elderflower. The gin’s renowned smoothness is created thanks to ‘Kathleen’, a unique double-sphere copper that allows the spirit to have prolonged contact time with the copper during distillation. 

In its striking Bristol blue bottle, the original London Dry Six O’ Clock gin is hand crafted in small batches and is enjoyed all over the world. Other flavours have joined the range, including Mango, Ginger and Lime gin, formed thanks to a collaboration with famed Indian chef Romy Gill. The gins are also available ready mixed in cans.
