When husband and wife team, Kit & Shireen, founded Bottlegreen Drinks in 1989, it was from elderflowers foraged on their doorstep in the Five Valleys. Wine makers by trade, they developed a unique cold filtration process, traditionally used for wine making, to remove impurities and sediment ensuring exceptional clarity of liquid. Despite global success, this unique process is still used today and the drinks are still processed at the original mill in Frogmarsh Lane in Woodchester.

Alongside the original elderflower cordial, Bottlegreen now makes a diverse range of soft drinks using exceptional ingredients, all using water drawn from the mill’s own spring. The cordial range now boasts eight flavours, with flavours for every season, including new Bramble and Winter Spiced Berry. The popular pressés, which were first launched in 1999, make great alcoholic alternatives, or can be used as mixers for spirits, and now include low sugar versions.

To keep up with changing consumer tastes, Bottlegreen has a team of flavour experts who are continually researching and sourcing new and exciting flavours from around the world to complement the original elderflower. The bottles and branding have also undergone several reincarnations over the 30 years ensuring that Bottlegreen Drinks can build upon its success as a local drinks brand that has remained close to its roots but that can equally take centre stage in a global drinks market.
